More Thanks
Thanks to everyone who donated food at Sainsbury's and supported us in our Wyevale collection (£260) and High Town stall (£160), all in December, and to those who gave to our collections at Kington Show (September) and Hereford Cider Festival (October) - and to our hosts. We made £90 at Kington and £250 at the Cider Festival, helped by the Morris dancers (Leominster and Foxs) there collecting for us. All this helps towards our running costs of almost £2000 a week to help local animals.
Thanks
Thanks to everyone who gave to our collections at Rockfield, Tesco Belmont and Morrisons in Hereford in March to June - and to the staff and management of these stores for their help. We collected £190 at Rockfield, £1500 at Tesco (plus food) and £600 at Morrisons. Also, thanks to those who supported us at Holme Lacy Open day.
Thanks
Thanks to everyone, including staff at the stores, that made our collections at Sainsbury's and Wyevale in Hereford in December 2010 such a success. We collected a large amount of food at Sainsbury's and £275 at Wyevale.
An Influx of Cats - Can You Help?
Typical of what the Branch deals with are the large number of cats who have recently come into our care. 10 came to us when their owner's house burnt down. Another 12 came when their owner died. Others come in smaller groups. We therefore have a mixture of sexes, ages, colours, dispositions, etc. If you can help us find loving new homes for any of these unfortunate animals, please look at their details on this site.
Cider Festival
Thank you for supporting us at the Cider Festival in 2010 where we raised over £150.
Home Visitors
A vital part of our work is ensuring animals in our care go to the right home. Our team of Home Visitors visit each prospective new owner to discuss the animal, how he/she will be cared for, etc. They also make a return visit to see the animal in his/her new home - the most rewarding part. Would you like to help out? Training is provided and expenses paid. Typically, visits average out at an hour once every couple of weeks. Please contact us if you are interested.
Pet Transport - Can You Help?
Are you able to help us transport our animals from kennels in the Hereford area to the vets for treatment? This only involves a couple of hours a month on average and expenses are paid. You need your own vehicle and to be reasonably fit (eg to help lift post-operative dogs). Training and equipment (eg cages) can be provided. Please contact us if you can help.
Support From Local Businesses
Would your business be willing to have a collecting tin to support our work? Would your staff like the opportunity to help us through Payroll Giving? Please contact us if you are interested.
