Helping Us

Because we receive no funding from the Government, Council, Lottery, etc we rely entirely on the support of the public (and businesses). We currently spend over £1,000 a week helping animals, and would like to do more. There are lots of ways you can help us help them.

These include:

  • giving an animal a new home - please see the re-homing page.
  • becoming a member of the RSPCA
  • making a regular, or one-off, donation, no matter how large or small.
  • leaving a bequest in your will. Please remember that if you want this branch to receive the bequest, you need to mention us specially because we are a separate charity from the national organisation.
  • helping in the shop, which is a major source of income for us - please see the shop page.
  • donating goods for the shop - please see the shop page.
  • helping with our collections.
  • undertaking your own fund raising.
  • donating food, blankets, etc to help the animals in our care. There is a food collection point in the Belmont (Hereford) Tesco store.
  • lending your time and skills for the various tasks involved with helping animals and running our shop.

In return, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you are helping animals that through no fault of their own need our support and assistance.

We are grateful for all the help we get. Sometimes we receive anonymous donations and we obviously can't thank people personally in these circumstances, or the many people who put money in collecting boxes in shops, etc. However, we can say Thank You here.

(Please, though, don't leave anything outside our shop; it may well get stolen or damaged)

If you can help, please contact us.
